Yolanda Lee

Development Executive

Yolanda is a Development Executive supporting Ffilm Cymru Wales’ Development and Production funds. She also shepherds feature and short film projects across the slate. 

Prior to this, Yolanda cultivated projects with a cohort of diverse filmmakers across Film London and BFI Network’s Script Lab. She was also a Development Executive at Pure Fiction Television where she script edited across the slate and spearheaded the development of new projects. At Urban Myth Films, she script edited on War of the Worlds for Disney+, and also brought numerous projects to the company. 

As a Development Editor at Sky, she worked on shows such as Intergalactic, A Discovery of Witches, The Lazarus Project, and The Baby. She collaborated with both production companies and stakeholders to bring new stories to life, and spearheaded virtual production efforts as well as VR accompaniments for shows in production. Whilst helping to cultivate the wider slate, Yolanda also ran the BAME Table Read scheme to champion new voices. In addition to commissioning, developing and staging new scripts to the industry every month, she further developed these productions into short films. She then script edited on Boys, Ashley Walters’ directorial debut. One of her Table Reads, Count Abdulla by Kaamil Shah, aired on ITV and she also ran a writersroom with Table Read alumni for a Sky Studios original series.
