Development Executive

Jessica works across the English language features in development from both emerging and established talent.

Jessica joins from ie ie productions where she was Development Executive, developing features and scripted series. Prior to that she was Head of Development at Maia Pictures, overseeing the company’s slate and driving talent relationships, to create an intersectional group of stories and voices. She has also worked on 4Screenwriting, 4Stories, been a judge for BFI Film Academy and Chapter’s Micro-Shorts Grants, and a mentor for The Writers Lab UK & Ireland.

Jessica started her career at Film4 working on projects including A Field in England; later returning to Channel 4 as part of the Drama commissioning team. Outside of development, Jessica has worked in a range of roles on both television and film productions – such as Suffragette and Safe House; she was production manager and script supervisor for the film element (Part 3) of debbie tucker green’s play, ear for eye, staged at the Royal Court. The feature film adaptation of the play premiered at the London Film Festival, and on BBC, in 2021.

Jessica produced a short film, Bog, which was nominated for the Golden Heart Trellick Award at the 2018 Portobello Film Festival, and played internationally, including the 2019 Worldwide Women’s Film Festival in the US.
