Jessica takes a global view of assessment and the progress of film projects in the department, whilst supporting the Head of Production with partner and stakeholder management, film strategy, and policy, particularly in relation to BFI Network Wales. Jessica also execs films across both the feature and short film slates.  

Jessica joined the team from ie ie productions, where she was Development Executive. Prior to that she was Head of Development at Maia Pictures, overseeing the company’s slate and driving talent relationships, creating an intersectional group of stories and voices. She has also worked on 4Screenwriting, 4Stories, been a judge for BFI Film Academy and Chapter’s Micro-Shorts Grants, and a mentor for The Writers Lab UK & Ireland.  

Jessica started her career at Film4, later returning to Channel 4 as part of the Drama commissioning team. Jessica has worked on both television and film productions. She was production manager and script supervisor for (Part 3) of debbie tucker green’s play, ear for eye. The feature adaptation premiered at London Film Festival, and on BBC, in 2021.  

Jessica produced short film, Bog. Nominated for the Golden Heart Trellick Award (2018 Portobello Film Festival), it played internationally, including 2019 Worldwide Women’s Film Festival in the US.
