Ffilm Cymru’s Foot in the Door programme is working in partnership with Mad as Birds Films and National Theatre Wales to offer free Set Ready training and up to 10 exciting shadow placements on a brand-new television production being filmed in Wales for GALWAD – a project commissioned by Creative Wales as part of UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK.

GALWAD will combine site-specific theatre, broadcast TV, digital and social media to tell a story in real-time from Wales to the world from 26th September to 2nd October 2022. The project is produced and led by Collective Cymru, a partnership of creative and cultural organisations and individuals led by National Theatre Wales.

Get Your Foot in the Door

If you are over 18 you can apply for this opportunity to get your Foot in The Door. You will need to be available for the dates stated below for the training and have some availability from mid-June to end of July for your placement. (We will have placements in south and north Wales).

Please do let us know what skills you do have in the application! Please don’t worry if you don’t know which department you would like to explore; you can choose more than one if you aren't sure and you can contact us if you need help with your application.
