Chaperoning Opportunity for TV

Do you enjoy working with children? Interested in a learning about part-time jobs in TV? Come along to a free chat with industry professional Katie Farmer.

Katie has worked as a professional chaperone on dramas such as Disney’s Willow and BBC’s Jamie Johnson.

Learn about:

  • How the TV industry works and what shows are being filmed near you
  • The role of the chaperone on set
  • An introduction into how to safeguard children on set and the rules and regulations
  • How to apply for a chaperone’s licence
  • Tips to get into the industry
  • Understand what bursaries are available

You can also opt to have a one-on-one information interview for an opportunity to have an on-set shadow placement through Ffilm Cymru's Foot in the Door programme with Newport City Council and the UK Community Renewal Fund.
