Film Education

Ffilm Cymru defines film education as activities that encourage people to engage with, enjoy, understand, create, explore, and share film through their lives.

This should involve at least three areas of learning:

Creative Practice

Exploring filmmaking as a creative medium, demonstrating the process from script to screen enabling people to use film for their own creativity

Critical Understanding

Creating opportunities to watch and deconstruct film in order to develop film literacy and language

Cultural Awareness

Developing future audiences for independent film and encourage the widest possible participation in Wales’ film culture.
