Shadow Producer Vacancy: ‘Mission’
Feature film Mission, written and directed by BAFTA-winning Paul Wright shooting in Glasgow supported by Ffilm Cymru Wales, BBC Film and Screen Scotland, is looking for a Shadow Post-Producer to join the team.
This role will be shadowing producers Lowri Roberts (Rapt) and Alex Thiele (65 Wilding Films) along with Kate Byers and Linn Waite (Early Day Films).
The production is based in Glasgow, with filming taking place in and around Glasgow itself. Post-Production will take place in Glasgow and London along with some remote work. The successful candidate will join the production team for ½ day remote prep (April/May), 5 days shoot in Glasgow (May) and 4½ days in post across July 2024 until Feb 2025 some in person and some remote. Specific dates and times can be flexible.
This opportunity is a chance for the shadowee to learn about the importance of post-production throughout the filmmaking process. They will gain further understanding of working with post-production houses from prep through to delivery, they'll be invited to review cuts if the film and give notes whilst also spending time on the set.
Fee: £130 per day
Expenses: Travel, accommodation and subsistence covered (within reason) along with per diems.
Duration: 10 days

Shoot: w/c 20th May or w/c 27th May
Post: various days from July 2024 until Feb 2024
Working Days/Hours
Prep: Online call(s), either one afternoon or various calls spread over a few days.
Shoot: 10hr days, time dependent on schedule requirements. Some evenings and late nights are likely.
Post: Various calls spread over a few months. Some full days in grade, mix and office.
Candidates should be Welsh or resident in Wales. They should have previous producing credits on short films or scripted TV drama.
