Film Education Coffee Morning July 2021

We aim to provide an informal opportunity to share what you are doing, collaboratively workshop ideas, create new connections and share any concerns you may have.

This event will launch the new guidelines for our two Film Education Funds: the Film Education Project Fund and the Film Education Pilot Scheme (previously the Innovation Fund). This will be an opportunity for you to hear more about how the fund will work, as well as ask any questions.

We will also be joined by two organisations that received Film Education Innovation Fund awards earlier this year to talk about their projects, as well as any learnings and challenges they encountered.

• Learnaboutfilm (Tom Barrance) was funded to run a distance learning project with neurodivergent young people in North Wales in collaboration with Hijinx Theatre (pictured above).
• Breathe Creative (Tracey Pallant and Amy Peckham) worked in collaboration with The Building Bridges project to deliver a film education project to young people with additional needs, working with the support of carers and family groups to create their own lockdown films.

As always, there will be opening discussions to talk through any updates from the sector, challenges and opportunities.

This is open to all people working in Film Education in Wales regardless of whether you have been funded by Ffilm Cymru Wales in the past.

Our latest coffee morning will be held on Thursday 29th July at 10:00 through Zoom.
