Jo Pearce

Jo Pearce is the CEO and Creative Director of Bright Branch Media, a production company with two specialities; the first in unscripted television programmes and the second in high-end social and behind-the-scenes content to market dramas and films internationally.

Before establishing Bright Branch in 2019, Jo was the Digital Commissioning and Creative Director for BBC Drama. Across her eighteen-year career at the corporation, Jo produced unscripted factual productions, sport, drama and pioneered new and innovative digital services for the broadcaster. Her success in winning in-house production pitches enabled her to establish the award-winning Digital Drama team, whilst also pioneering the youth social channel, BBC Sesh, for BBC Wales.

In her role as BBC Drama's Creative Director, Jo set the digital strategy and creative for some of the BBC's most successful brands, and her digital commissioning role at BBC Wales enabled her to develop new Welsh talent via BBC Sesh. Most recently, as Creative Director for Bright Branch, Jo developed and served as the executive Producer for one of BBC Three's most successful programmes, Doctor Who: Unleashed, alongside Inside Longleat for Channel 5. She also oversees the production of digital content made by the company across a slate of high-end productions for UK network channels, global streamers and distributors.
