Practical Strategies for Tackling Bullying and Harassment

19th January 2023, 6:00

This online session is for writers, directors and producers working on feature length or short films at all levels of experience who are keen to understand the law regarding bullying and harassment.

This training will identify common examples of bullying and harassment to ensure participants understand the full scope of these terms. We will then identify proactive steps to manage this behaviour both formally and informally and provide practical and ethical guidance on handling a complaint.

Participants will leave this session with a broad understanding of the law, the behaviours involved and ways to both de-escalate and escalate any complaints:

  • The separate definitions of bullying and harassment
  • Examples of both bullying and harassment (both obvious and non-obvious)
  • De-escalation techniques
  • Escalation processes

This discussion will be through the medium of English and will include live captioning and BSL interpretation. If you would like to attend and have any additional access requirements please contact Tracy Spottiswoode on tracy@ffilmcymruwales.com or call 07902 492109 to discuss in confidence.
