Connector: SHIFFT Script Lab
SHIFFT Script Lab was a screenwriting lab for female-identifying and non-binary screenwriters in Wales.
Supported by Ffilm Cymru and BFI NETWORK Wales’ Connector Fund in 2017 and 2019, the lab provided screenwriters the opportunity to share and receive feedback on work in development.
The programme offered actor reading sessions, an Industry Mentor notes session and peer-writer support and feedback. The mission was to nurture writers, invest in female-driven stories and promote women as creators of content.
SHIFFT Script Lab aimed to support Welsh writers during the creation process, while creating a community that helped develop new work. 48 participants were supported over the four labs that were held.
