Training opportunity for aspiring Newport film crew

Ffilm Cymru Wales and Newport City Council are delighted to present an online Foot in the Door masterclass aimed at 18-30 year- olds who are interested in learning more about working behind the scenes in film and TV.

Who is it for?

We are looking for individuals who are interested in learning more about working in the TV & Film industry and who are ideally not in full time employment, full time education or training. You can apply now for this free training opportunity to find out how you can develop your skills and understand more about skills needed to work in the film and TV industry.

We are committed to encouraging applications from individuals who are currently underrepresented in the TV and Film industry in Wales; including people from Black, Asian and Ethnic Minority groups, disabled people, people identifying as LGBTQ+ and people who are neurodivergent.

If you have not had access or the opportunity to study, train or learn through work experience in the film and TV sector previously and can commit to attending two sessions online across 2 days on 22nd and 23rd of April, this is for you!

What will you learn?

This masterclass will take place online across the 22nd and 23rd of April, and participants will:

  • Hear from expert guest speakers that work in film and TV industry
  • Learn all about the wide variety of roles on set
  • Get practical advice on paths into the film and TV industry
