Welsh film wins at BAFTA Cymru awards

Ffilm Cymru supported films have won 4 awards at this year’s BAFTA Cymru ceremony.

Presented by Huw Stephens, the 28th BAFTA Cymru awards took place on 13th October at St David’s Hall, Cardiff, honouring excellence in broadcasting and production within film, games and television in Wales.
Dinah Collins won the Costume Design award for her work on William McGregor’s gothic folk tale Gwen, starring Eleanor Worthington-Cox and Maxine Peake, while Adam Etherington picked up the Photography & Lighting trophy for the film’s stunning cinematography.

Jon Jones’ Ffilm Cymru funded coming-of-age drama Last Summer, released in May, won the award for Best Feature / TV Feature, while Jamie Jones’ feature film Obey won the Swansea filmmaker the Best Breakthrough award.
