BFI Doc Society Local: Wales

In a handful of immersive regional events (‘locals’) exploring the new national BFI Doc Society fund and current landscape for non-fiction film, we hear from the filmmakers and decision makers serving the docs community.

After inspiring events in Newcastle and Birmingham, BFI Doc Society are heading to Wales, joining colleagues at Film Hub Wales and Ffilm Cymru Wales for a day of Doc appreciation in Cardiff at Chapter Arts Centre on Wednesday 6th March 2019.

Date: Wednesday 6th March 2019
Time: 09:30am - 6:30pm (lunch and refreshments will be provided)
Venue: Chapter, Market Road, Canton, Cardiff, Wales CF5 1QE
Free of charge, attendance is for the full day only

As we get local alongside industry experts, share news on opportunities and support for non-fiction filmmakers in Wales, hear doc case studies, discussion, networking and one-to-one doc ‘surgeries.'
Whether you’re a doc-maker, doc-lover or simply doc-curious, join the community as we embrace a new and diverse vision for documentary film in the UK.

Please share this with your network. We’re interested in bringing together documentary filmmakers (and hear voices) from all parts of Wales and bordering areas, all walks of life and all communities.
