Background Information

Ffilm Cymru Wales is a lottery delegate of the Arts Council of Wales and the BFI, developing and implementing film policy for Wales with the aim of further developing its inclusive film sector and film culture.  Its work spans Make, See and Learn, devising and managing funding programmes to provide opportunities for Welsh filmmakers, production companies, exhibitors – including cinemas, festivals and innovative pop-up providers - and film education practitioners.

From April 2013 we have been the BFI’s delivery partner in Wales for their UK-wide NETWORK support for new and emerging talent. This has included support for short films, peer to peer networks, seed funding for projects and input from talent/project mentors, for example.  The various BFI NETWORK Managers across the UK liaise with each other and back to the BFI on emerging talent, projects and joined up initiatives.  You can find out more at this dedicated website and through the BFI NETWORK Wales’ Facebook page.

We are now seeking a part-time BFI NETWORK co-ordinator to support Wales’ BFI NETWORK Manager in the delivery of the programme.
