The Ffilm Cymru Wales supported dramas have been selected for the BFI London Film Festival.

Written and directed by the BIFA-nominated Corinna Villari-McFarlane, The Silent Storm stars Andrea Riseborough as a young, grieving housewife caught between her domineering husband (Damian Lewis) and the delinquent who is sent to live with them. Welsh producer John Giwa-Amu and his company Red and Black Films co-produced the high-profile project in partnership with producer Nicky Bentham (Moon), Marc Samuelson and the producers of the James Bond franchise, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G Wilson.

Following its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September, Duane Hopkins’ Bypass will also screen in London. Co-produced by Wales’ Kate Crowther with Sam Haillay, the contemporary drama is a morality tale of society's feared and forsaken, as Tim, a good kid and a criminal, struggles to keep his family alive at all costs. The film stars rising talent George McKay (For Those in Peril, How I Live Now) and Game of Thrones’ Donald Sumpter.
